KAMA LINDEN, creator of BODYFRIENDLYOGA DVD, will discuss how BODYFRIENDLYOGA is a safer, stronger, more effective approach to doing vinyasa yoga.
Using naturalistic cueing, we will discuss the importance of neutral spine vs a “flat” back, natural turnout vs FLAT or 90 degrees, using props so that people of all flexibility can do yoga.
Many people get hurt doing something that is supposed to be good for them, because they are instructed to “make their hips flat”, or “put their head through their arms and look at their belly button”…the worst is PIGEON pose…instructors tell their students to take their foot and try to torque it to align the knee with the ankle…how many people tear their meniscus?
